KEY PENINSULA DEMOGRAPHICS

The Key Peninsula has an estimated population of 16,721, with almost 30% percent between the ages of 25 and 44. Gig Harbor has an estimated population of 56,282. These figures are expected to grow, with the Key Peninsula population rising to 20,000 by 2020, with Gig Harbor growing to more than 71,000 by then. Peninsula School District, which serves the Key Peninsula, is projected to grow to 12,000 students by 2020. Housing units increase by more than 2% per annum since 2000.
