Picnic Shelter

Shelter Calendar

Built in 2014, our picnic shelter was built by the Civic Center through collaborative efforts with Key Pen Parks, Key Peninsula Land Use Advisory Commission, Key Peninsula Land Use Advisory Commission, Angel Guild Thrift Store, Peninsula Light Company & Bonneville Environmental Foundation.  The solar panels on the roof generate power for the Civic Center and help defray operational costs. This area may be reserved in two-hour blocks from 8 am until 9 pm when the Civic Center gates are closed.  Popular for families and birthday parties, the shelter is adjacent to a children’s playground.  Check the on-line calendar below tab for the Shelter’s availability. This schedule changes daily, so this is only a preliminary check.
